Dwight Howard has been involved in a messy legal battle with multiple individuals over the past several years.
The dispute centers around an encounter that occurred between Howard, a man named Stephen Harper, and an individual who has been described as ‘Mr. Kitty.’
Essentially Harper insists that he was forced into an intimate situation with Howard and Mr. Kitty, whereas Howard maintains that it was all consensual.
The details that have come out have been extremely salacious and personal.
This week, an attempt by Howard to dismiss the legal action brought against him took a turn.

“In his motion, Howard argued that all claims should be dismissed,” Radar Online reported.
“[Howard] claimed his interactions with Harper were consensual and he did not commit sexual assault. Howard submitted a series of text messages that he claimed Harper sent after the alleged assault — that showed Harper asking to hang out again. Harper disputed the authenticity of the messages.
“Despite Howard’s plea, the judge presiding over the case denied his motion to dismiss the case. The order said, ‘[Howard] also moves for summary judgment, arguing that all sexual activity in the suit was consensual. In response, [Harper] submits affidavit and other evidence raising triable issues of material facts.’
“The order said, ‘Therefore, this court HEREBY DENIES [Howard’s] motion for summary judgment.’ As a result, Howard and Harper will not prepare for trial in the case.”
In a busy sports week that has seen a suspicious Taylor Swift video go viral, Paulina Gretzky’s provocative photos leak out, and Vanessa Bryant’s relationship with Pau Gasol come under scrutiny, Howard’s legal woes have kind of flown under the radar.

That said, based on this most recent judge’s ruling, it doesn’t appear as though this legal war will end any time soon.
Will Howard, Harper, Mr. Kitty and anyone else involved in this matter ultimately end up getting the justice they deserve when everything is said and done? Time will tell.
