Bronny James’ seat at Monday night’s Los Angeles Lakers game may have offered a hint regarding his college plans.
Over the past few months, the topic of where LeBron James’ eldest son is going to go to school has dominated the headlines. For a long time, it seemed like a three-team race was brewing between USC, Ohio State and Oregon.
Recently, the Ducks appear to have been removed from the equation – leaving just the Trojans and Buckeyes.
Last week, Bill Simmons seemingly spoiled where Bronny would be taking his talents. That said, an official announcement has yet to come. And until it does, everyone is still in the running.
Which brings us to Game 4 of the Lakers’ first-round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Based on Bronny’s seat at that game, fans immediately assumed that he was USC-bound.

USC obviously has a lot going for it. There is a lot of young talent at the program already and heading there next year. Plus, geographically, it suits Bronny and the rest of the James clan well since they are all based out of Los Angeles.
Between Bronny’s extracurricular activities and love life, it would seem like remaining in L.A. is at least somewhat of a priority.
That being said, some believe Ohio State may still have a chance at bringing him onboard.
“We have the finishing touches on our recruiting in the next week or two. We may add one more player,” Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann said last week.
“We just added a top-20 team that will come to the Schott in the first week or two. We cannot wait to get started.”

Why is that notable? Because Bronny just came in at No. 19 in ESPN’s final rankings of the 2023 class.
One way or another, an official announcement on where Bronny is going to school should come in the next few weeks.
Who will ultimately land the heir to the James family throne? Time will tell.
