The Chicago Bulls have won six out of their last 10 games and finally seem to be finding their footing a bit this season. Up until very recently, they were one of the more disappointing teams in the league.
Finally, the tide appears to be turning ever so slightly.
This week, ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst spoke out about whether the Bulls’ turn in fortune is influencing Zach LaVine’s standing within the organization at all. Especially since the team is 4-1 in the five games since he has returned from injury.
LaVine has been linked to trade rumors all year long. Specifically, four squads have been circling the waters looking for an opportunity to add him. Chicago, similarly, has been very interested in giving him up – for the right price.
Has that changed at all in recent days?
“If they could trade Zach LaVine in the next five minutes they would trade him and Zach would happily go to the airport,” Windhorst said on NBA Today.
“I don’t think anything has changed there, I think they absolutely want to trade him.”
The Los Angeles Lakers are the team that has obviously been most closely linked to LaVine, but one major issue continues to prevent a trade from occurring.
“I think there’s a zero percent chance of the Lakers trading for Zach Lavine.”

In addition to L.A., two other squads have expressed serious interest in LaVine’s services as well.
LaVine seems fairly open to any one of multiple options that get him out of Chicago. There is really only one team he doesn’t want to go to.

Given the mutual interest all parties involved seem to have when it comes to a divorce, it still feels fairly likely that LaVine will end up in a different uniform once the NBA Trade Deadline passes.
That said, it isn’t totally clear what uniform that will ultimately be.
Where will LaVine eventually be playing come this time next month? Time will tell.
