Austin Reaves Names His All-Time Starting 5
Austin Reaves has had himself a busy offseason.
This week, the Los Angeles Lakers star appeared on a podcast and offered his thoughts on something of a polarizing topic: who his all-time top five in the NBA are.
There were some interesting mentions on the list.
Reaves didn’t hold back.
“Steph (Curry), MJ (Michael Jordan), Kobe (Bryant), Bron (LeBron James), Shaq (Shaquille O’Neal),” Reaves said.

It is hard to argue with Reaves’ list. Everyone on there deserves t be there.
Heading into the 2024-25 NBA season, all eyes will be on Reaves. While nobody expects him to be an all-time great, the Lakers clearly want to see him step up.
This past week, team president Rob Pelinka revealed what he wants to see from Reaves in 2024.
“You look at evolutions of players, and I don’t compare players around the league, but you look at… a great player like a Jalen Brunson and the jump he had from his Dallas days to New York,” Pelinka said.
“Is there that delta? I’m not trying to put expectations like that on Austin Reaves, but you can see players develop in big ways throughout their career, and I’m gonna put my tokens down on Austin Reaves to do that just because of the work he puts in and just his fabric and nature.
“He’s an incredibly tough person and an incredible competitor and those things tend to elevate guys throughout their career.”
Whether or not Reaves will be able to meet Pelinka’s expectations remains to be seen.
