LSU Star Olivia Dunne’s Memorable Video Goes Viral

LSU star Olivia Dunne is no stranger to fans of collegiate gymnastics. She came into the year with a ton of hype and hasn’t done much to disappoint up to this point.

Dunne has also slowly but surely been building up an absolutely massive online following. To date, she has amassed more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram.

That said, there is a reasonable case to be made that Dunne had not yet penetrated the larger cultural zeitgeist.

This week – everything changed.

During a recent match against Alabama, Dunne performed a floor routine that set the world ablaze. Video of it immediately went viral, officially putting the young gymnastics star on the map.

This has been a crazy year for college sports. You’ve had college football stars get exposed for weird fetishes, coaches get outed for their improper relations, reporters being criticized for their overly “exposing” clothing and on-the-field bullying that nobody did anything about.

It’s nice that in the midst of all that, fans can get a feel-good story like Dunne.

What heights will her popularity reach from this point forward? Time will tell.
