Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns is gearing up for the most important season of his professional career.
Over the summer, his Wolves went out and acquired Rudy Gobert for a pretty hefty price. The message was clear: they are trying to win now.
Making the playoffs last season was good. But now, they want to make the playoffs and get far.
Before Towns could embark on trying to win a championship, though – he had to deal with a far more important matter: his girlfriend Jordyn Woods’ birthday.
Towns and Woods started the celebrations in the days leading up to the big day itself, and they kept the party going pretty consistently. Their photos largely speak for themselves:

In addition to just having fun with Woods on her special week, Towns also gave his better half a very memorable gift. He will fund two of her businesses.
“Happy 25th Birthday! After this, you get to say you 18 every year like your moms lol,” Towns wrote in a letter that Woods posted on her IG Stories.
“I know every year I have showered you with material gifts that people wish they could cop (king s**t) but this year, your 25th year walking this earth, it’s time to go from that girl to a full woman.
“You pick two businesses you want to start and I will fund them. It’s time to take that next step, and I will walk with you step by step in this thing we call life. Te amo mucho, let’s take over the world… together.”
That is quite the present.
Between their very racy Paris pictures, extremely expensive presents to one another and hugely public displays of affection, Towns and Woods have been something of a mainstay in the news cycle in recent months.
There were some concerns about their longevity when cheating rumors emerged – but they stuck it out.

Now, the pair will go into Towns’ looming NBA season arguably at their strongest.
Is an NBA championship ring in this couple’s future? A wedding ring? Both?
