Jalen Rose and his then-wife Molly Qerim sent shockwaves throughout the sports community late last year when they announced their divorce.

Up to that point, the pair had been one of the most prominent power couples around.

It didn’t take long for the real reason for their split to emerge.

This week Rose found himself in the headlines over his love life once more.

According to SideAction, Rose is currently dating ESPN correspondent Angela Rye.

Rye is a very well-known personality who boasts more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram.

Rose and Rye were apparently spotted together at Tina Knowles’ 5th annual Wearable Art Gala honoring Angela Bassett and Mark Bradford recently.

Time will tell where this relationship goes.

Rose, for his part, has generally been something of an open book when it comes to his love life. After his divorce, a lot of rumors emerged about Stephen A. Smith and Qerim.

Many would have simply ignored the idle gossip – but not Rose. He recently addressed the chatter head on, including how it made him feel.

And it’s telling that Qerim and Smith continue to generate headlines to this day.

Big picture, it will be interesting to see where Rose’s purported relationship with Rye goes from here. Both are very high-profile personalities in their own right, which comes with its fair share of potential pitfalls along the way.

Will they be able to overcome those obstacles and go on to live happy, fulfilling and productive lives?

Time will tell.
