Real Reason Jalen Rose Is Divorcing ESPN’s Molly Qerim (Video)

NBA star turned ESPN basketball analyst Jalen Rose filed for divorce from his wife Molly Qerim this week.

Qerim also works for ESPN, serving as the moderator for ‘First Take’ with Stephen A. Smith.

According to Connecticut Superior Court Records, the pair has decided to terminate their nuptials after just three years of marriage. They were originally married in 2018.

“After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go out separate ways,” Rose wrote in an Instagram post. “We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship moving forward. Please respect our privacy at this time.”

As first reported by TMZ, the pair’s split was “amicable and both sides remain cordial.”

In court documents, Rose claims that “the marriage broke down irretrievably after Qerim moved to Connecticut.”

Interestingly enough, Rose initially filed for divorce in April of this year – not long after the pair’s much-publicized Gatorade commercial went viral.

Compared to some of the other sports divorces we have seen in 2021, filled with accusations of adultery and lies, this one appears to be relatively tame.

Sometimes things simply don’t work out – and that appears to have been what happened here.
