Jackson Mahomes Makes Big Announcement About His Future

Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, made an important announcement about his future this week.

The 22-year-old has been something of a mainstay in various news cycles ever since his big brother’s ascent to the top of the NFL’s quarterback mountain.

For reasons both good and bad, but mostly bad, Jackson has landed in the headlines with regularity in recent years.

And it was more of the same this week.

Jackson took to Twitter this week to announce that he had finally graduated college and would now seek out actual employment instead of simply leeching off his brother’s fame:

Given Jackson’s reputation and how merciless social media can be, reactions poured in immediately:

Jackson has been something of a polarizing figure for a while now. Just earlier this month video of him causing an embarrassing scene went mega viral.

When you consider his efforts to show that he is straightuncomfortable way with females and questionable conduct at a recent music event – it feels like he has been in the headlines for one negative thing after another.

That has led some to wonder whether a rift is forming between him and Patrick. Eagle-eyed observers point to the fact that he didn’t take part in his big bro’s bachelor party and then an especially icy back-and-forth between the pair at a game.

In any case, it feels like no matter what job Jackson chooses to get next, he will try to remain in the limelight in some capacity.

What will that ultimately entail?

Time will tell.
