Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is currently in the midst of a very serious legal situation.
It started out with one massage therapist accusing him of being inappropriate.
Then came another. And another.
In total, 16 lawsuits have been filed against Watson by various women – with as many as eight more possibly on the way.
One of the things that many have wondered about ever since the allegations first arose was how Watson’s girlfriend, Jilly Anais, was responding to everything.
This week they got an answer in the form of a cryptic social media post on her Instagram.
What precisely that means is anyone’s guess.
Is Anais standing by Watson regardless of the accusations? Does she wish she had picked a man more like her father? It’s unclear.
What is clear, however, is that Watson’s current situation is going to get very ugly, very fast for all parties involved.
Between leaked text messages, blackmail attempts and one particularly graphic set of claims – there is no way this matter is getting resolved any time soon.
Interestingly enough, despite the disturbing mess Watson is dealing with, many around the NFL don’t seem to care all that much. In fact, two teams are reportedly “willing to give up everything” to acquire him.
How will this entire ordeal ultimately end? Time will tell. But hopefully the wronged parties walk away getting the justice they deserve.
