Georgia came into Saturday’s College Football Playoff game against Michigan as a prohibitive favorite.
Despite that, the general public seemed to believe that the Wolverines possessed the skills necessary to pull off an upset.
One quarter into the match-up, it became very evident that the confidence had been misplaced.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 14-0 lead early and never looked back. When it was all said and done, they punched their ticket to the championship game with a resounding 34-11 victory.
Because of how badly Michigan got destroyed this weekend, many fans couldn’t help but reflect on the overly-confident t-shirts their offensive line opted to wear during pre-game warm-ups.

Suffice to say, the Wolverines did not run the damn ball. In fact, they couldn’t protect it at all. For the day they gave up four sacks, committed three turnovers, and went 1-for-3 in the red zone. In the first half Michigan amassed just one play longer than 20 yards.

All in all, irrespective of the rough showing on Saturday, Michigan had a solid 2021 campaign.
Despite getting robbed by officials on countless occasions this season, the Wolverines persevered and made it further than folks expected them to. And off the field, when head coach Jim Harbaugh was confronted with an ‘Urban Meyer Situation,’ he handled it far better than his old rival.

That being said, in a college football season that saw crazy stuff like weird-stripper money scandals, an SEC reporter being criticized for her overly “revealing” wardrobe and obvious bullying of team staff – this weekend’s showings undeniably came up a bit short in the excitement department.
