Brittany Mahomes is inarguably the second-most famous NFL wife in the league right now.
Tom Brady’s longtime partner, Gisele Bündchen, is obviously an international sensation and by far the most famous spouse. But Brittany is right behind her.
Brittany’s prominence comes with its fair share of highs and lows. On the positive end of the spectrum, it opens up certain opportunities for her that may not have otherwise existed.
There is a flip side to that coin, though. And that is the abuse she often gets from opposing fans.
According to Essentially Sports, there is one particularly ‘horrible’ fan base that really went hard after Brittany and her brother-in-law Jackson Mahomes during a visit there.
That fan base? One belonging to the New England Patriots.
During a road outing there between the Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, Brittany live-tweeted the following:
“As soon as we sit down, drunk dude ‘hey everyone this is [P]atrick [M]ahomes girl and brother, let’s give them shit[.]’ This shall be fun,” she wrote, as recapped by Essentially Sports.
How rough did things get?
“Gillette security came and got us and moved us to a safe place 🙌🏼 that’s how you know it was bad,” she would follow up.
Yikes.
This tale strikes a familiar note. You will recall, when Tom Brady temporarily retired, golf influencer Paige Spiranac offered something of a spicy take on the matter. Brady’s fans were not having it – and they made sure to let her know.

In that respect, Brittany’s commentary certainly makes sense.
Obviously Mrs. Mahomes isn’t the easiest personality in the world to deal with either. Spiranac’s comments about her certainly speak for themselves as well.
But the larger point about Patriots fans still stands.
Unless they meet in the NFL playoffs, the Chiefs and Patriots don’t have a game against one another on the docket this year.

But if that postseason outing does occur, it will be interesting to see the reception Brittany ultimately gets.
In theory, you would think it couldn’t possibly be any worse than what happened last time around.
Then again, when it comes to Brittany Mahomes and Patriots fans – anything is possible.
