The relationship between Brittany Renner and P.J. Washington seemingly gets worse and worse with each passing day.
Washington, a forward for the Charlotte Hornets, and Renner, a model who has been linked to James Harden, Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Jamal Murray, Ben Simmons, Trey Songz, Chris Brown and Colin Kaepernick in the past, dated for more than a year.
Initially the pair met when Washington was 18 and attending the University of Kentucky and Renner was 27. Their relationship progressed from there, culminating in Washington going pro, impregnating Renner, the birth of the child and their abrupt break-up.
In the aftermath, Renner has been accused by many, including seemingly Washington, of grooming and then using the young star for financial security – particularly given the kind of money she stands to gain.
Washington signed a four-year, $12 million deal with the Hornets after getting drafted.
This week, Renner shot back at claims that she used and then discarded Washington because she was only really with him for his inevitable NBA paychecks.
In a recent social media post, Renner seemed to strongly insinuate that Washington was “toxic” towards her in their relationship and that was the reason for their break-up. The message largely speaks for itself:
Obviously that post is open to interpretation, but given that Renner and Washington were just in a lengthy relationship, and taking into account how things have gone recently – it’s not hard to put two and two together.
Things between Renner and Washington have been extremely messy in recent days. A lot of disturbing and very ugly things have been said by both sides.
For the sake of their child, hopefully these two can finally get it together at some point and move on. But based on everything exhibited up to now, that seems like a tall order at the moment.
