2 Schools Emerging As Arch Manning Frontrunners

Arch Manning is the most highly-touted high school football prospect in the nation. Not only is he universally regarded as the sort of quarterback that can singlehandedly alter the trajectory of a collegiate program, but it’s almost expected of him at this point.

The mania surrounding where Manning will go has reached incredible levels. A clip of him giving some unnamed blonde a promise to a university in bed almost broke the internet.

It has been that crazy.

So where will the youngster ultimately end up going? Up until recently, four universities were consistently viewed as the top potential suitors for his services.

Now, it appear two have emerged from the fray.

According to college football recruiting insider Chad Simmons, two very notable schools are quietly emerging as favorites for Manning’s services.

“When talking to different sources close to this recruitment, I have started to hear more about Georgia and Texas,” the report read.

“Alabama is still Alabama — and Nick Saban, Bill O’Brien and Pete Golding have all been involved — but there has been a little more chatter around the Bulldogs and Longhorns in recent weeks.”

Manning just eliminated one of the best-known colleges in the nation from his list, despite them winning multiple championships over the past decade. Aside from that, it seems like everyone is still kind of in the running.

But obviously Georgia and Texas are the top two on his list.

Last year Manning recorded 1,913 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns in 10 games. Aside from that, he also pitched in 381 rushing yards and six rushing scores on the ground.

If his high school success can translate to the collegiate level, he has the potential to be an all-time great.

Where will Manning ultimately go when it’s all said and done? Time will tell.
