Zach Wilson’s Mom Bounces Back After ‘Crackhead’ Incident

Zach Wilson’s Mom Bounces Back After ‘Crackhead’ Incident

The New York Jets shocked the world on Sunday afternoon, pulling out a 27-24 victory over a shorthanded Tennessee Titans group.

Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson finished 21-of-34 for 297 yards, two touchdowns and one interception on the day. Both of his scores came in the fourth quarter, when his team desperately needed him to step up.

By any objective measure, it was Zach’s best performance as a pro.

After the game his mom, Lisa, took to social media to respond to his big day.

Lisa’s upbeat attitude and positive posts were a sharp reversal from the run she has been on ever since Zach got drafted. Things obviously reached something of a low point for her last month when she inexplicably referred to herself as a “crack whore.” And then they got progressively worse with each Jets loss. Now it appears that Lisa has a newfound sense of optimism about what’s to come.

Lisa has become something of a lightning rod for criticism online for her bizarre behavior over the past few months. Between the way she was going wild at parties and the odd manner in which she’d lash out at various critics on social media, she turned into an easy target.

If the Jets keep winning, though – that’ll change. Last week various players publicly began to turn on Zach, but his gutsy performance on Sunday will likely buy him some goodwill. With a win next weekend against the Atlanta Falcons, both Zach and his mom can quickly go from laughingstocks to New York heroes.

Watch this space. The next few weekends promise to be very interesting ones.
