Why Tiger Woods Won’t See His Kids After Crash

Two weeks ago golf legend Tiger Woods got into a brutal, single-vehicle accident. Although he survived, the 45-year-old needed doctors to insert a rod into his leg and place screws in his foot and ankle to fix some of the damage.

It remains unclear whether he will ever be able to golf professionally again.

This week Jenna Lemoncelli and Russ Weakland of HollywoodLife penned an interesting story regarding why Woods doesn’t want his children visiting him in the hospital right now.

“Tiger has been in contact with his kids, but while he recovers, he’s fine with them being with Elin in Florida,” a source told HollywoodLife.

“He feels that it would be too dramatic for them to see their dad hurt. He’s reassured them that he’s getting better each day and everything’s going to be alright. Everyone’s taking things day by day.”

Beyond that, Woods is cognizant of the media attention around him right now.

“He doesn’t want the kids to be around all the media coverage,” the source continued. “He doesn’t want the focus to be on his kids and photos of them being taken and all that. Also, there are obvious concerns about them visiting at the hospital amid COVID-19.”

Still, Woods is looking forward to seeing his children once he leaves the hospital.

“Tiger wants his kids to have a normal life as best as they can,” the source added. “When things settle and he’s able leave the hospital, he will see his kids.”

Woods has two children: daughter Sam Alexis, 13, and 11-year-old son Charlie Axel.

Both are currently staying with Woods’ ex-wife, Elin Nordegren in Florida.

There is currently an ongoing investigation into what led up to Woods’ crash. He recently gave a disturbing response when asked to recount what transpired before the accident, leading to more questions than answers.

Footage showing how Woods was driving right before the incident was released early on. That, coupled with the explanation for why he was in such hurry, paints a certain picture of what led up to the crash.

That said, until formal announcements are made by investigators, everything is just speculation.
