What Henry Ruggs And GF Were Doing Seconds Before Crash (Video)

Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was involved in a fatal car accident last week.

On the morning of Nov. 2, a Chevrolet Corvette carrying Ruggs and his girlfriend Kiara “Rudy” Kilgo-Washington was involved in a collision with a Toyota RAV4 carrying Las Vegas woman Tina Tintor and her dog. The latter two perished the crash, the former two survived.

After being treated for his injuries, Ruggs was taken in by police and charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death and reckless driving. A few days later, prosecutors added two felony charges as well as a misdemeanor.

Ruggs stands accused of driving 156 mph in the lead-up to the crash and having a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit in the state of Nevada.

Over the past week, various details have emerged regarding what Ruggs was doing prior to the accident. Everything from him mocking the idea of reckless driving to the final text messages he sent before the crash to how many shots of alcohol he had consumed.

There is even video that has come out showing precisely how he was driving right before impact.

On Monday, a new series of facts started to come to light. Right after the crash occurred, Ruggs and Washington were recorded on camera having a fiery exchange.

“OK. OK, here,” Washington seemed to tell Ruggs as she grabbed his face. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”

“F***,” he seemed to respond angrily. “Stop yelling!”

This led to some speculating that Ruggs and Washington were fighting in the car prior to the crash. On Monday, a report emerged that seemed to back that up.

“If you recall, Ruggs was driving with the mother of his daughter, Kiara Kilgo-Washington, at the time of the crash,” the report read (via BSO). “Videos show her apologizing to him while the car that they crashed into is in flames. Sources have said allegedly, while Ruggs was cruising, going 3000x times over the speeding limit, Kiara started hitting him.

“Sources say that she was mad about a girl he had been messing with, and I guess she decided to take matters into her own hands (literally). In the midst of her trying to get answers while beating this man’s behind, Tina Tintor attempted to get into Ruggs’ lane, he tried to slow down, but it was too late by then. So basically, KIARA has some explaining to do because even though no one could ever imagine what this night would have led to.”

Obviously this account has yet to be corroborated, but it does add a new wrinkle to the equation. It would also explain why Ruggs was so agitated and yelled what he yelled at hospital staff when he was taken in for medical attention.

Just a horrible situation all the way around.

Ruggs was released on $150,000 bail and is being monitored electronically at the moment. He could be facing a maximum of 46 years in prison.

As noted rather bluntly by Ruggs’ former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, the consequences from what happened on that fateful night will reverberate for many years to come.
