Donald Trump Turns His Back On ‘Loser’ Colby Covington (Video)

Donald Trump was on hand at UFC 296 on Saturday night to watch Leon Edwards defend his welterweight championship of the world against Colby Covington.

The build-up to this particular fight was notable for two things: 1.) Covington’s instance on mocking Edwards’ dead father prior to the match and 2.) Covington’s fanhood of Trump.

Ahead of the match, Covington proclaimed that Trump would be the one to put the belt around his waist if he won the title. A video of that claim went almost as viral as that one clip of Pearl Gonzalez wearing no clothes.

Sadly (for him), that never came to be.

Edwards dominated Covington for the better part of five rounds and ended up winning via decision.

How did Trump feel about his boy getting trounced? He didn’t care for it, apparently.

As Covington was doing his ‘loser’ speech in the aftermath, Trump literally and figuratively turned his back on him.

A video that went viral shortly thereafter showed Trump walking out in the middle of Covington’s speech:

Given how much Covington constantly has sucked up to Trump over the years, the visual wasn’t lost on fans at home.

They immediately took to social media to react:

A tough night for Covington, no doubt about it.

Beyond just losing to Edwards, this likely marked the final time he will ever get a shot at a championship.

At 35 years old, barring something crazy occurring, this is the end of the line for him.

Will Trump ever actually acknowledge Covington again now that he is officially no longer a relevant fighter? Time will tell.
