Ex-UFC star Pearl Gonzalez has become one of the most influential women in all of mixed martial arts over the past few years.
Although MMA is typically known as something of a boys’ club, Gonzalez has done her best to break through the noise. In order to be successful, she followed a two-pronged approach.
First, she established herself as a legitimately interesting fighter. Between stints at Invicta, the UFC, and Bare Knuckle Fighting, Gonzalez proved herself to be a must-see attraction.
After doing that, she also developed a notable social media presence. Gonzalez boasts more than a quarter of a million followers at the moment, and as a result, goes viral fairly routinely.
This week proved to be no exception.
Gonzalez took to social media a few days ago and published a video of herself wearing no clothes whatsoever:

Needless to say, it was a huge hit.
Beyond just her viral hits, Gonzalez also clearly maintains a good relationship with Dana White and the UFC. Just this weekend, she attended UFC 295:

To say that Gonzalez has a certain propensity for blowing up online would be an understatement. Between her provocative dance videos, wild boat party escapades and the brouhaha surrounding her chest tattoo – she has been a mainstay in the news cycle for years.
She just has that level of relevance and mainstream appeal.

Over the past few years Gonzalez has leaned more and more into her social media presence. That strategy is obviously the right one, as her fighting days are clearly winding down.
Plus, she is just undeniably good at it.
What will Gonzalez ultimately go viral for next? Time will tell.
