Steve Kerr Gets Brutally Honest About Klay Thompson’s Return

The Golden State Warriors have gotten off to a very hot start this year.

They currently hold the NBA’s best record and that’s without Klay Thompson ever taking the court.

When Thompson returns in the next few weeks, it could take Golden State to the next level.

Presuming, of course, Warriors coach Steve Kerr reintegrates him into the team effectively.

“I haven’t thought about it yet. I can’t think ahead and think about where Klay (Thompson) is going to play,” Kerr said this week, per NBC Sports. “Obviously, he’ll start. What does that mean? I don’t know yet. I’ll think about it when we get there, because who knows who’s going to be there.”

According to Stephen Curry, the real challenge will be balancing all the talent that Golden State possesses.

“That is the challenge of what we have in terms of balancing how many guys you can throw out there every single night and creating a solid rotation that’s going to help us win a championship, so that’s the secret sauce right now,” he said.

The Warriors are currently being mentioned in a potential blockbuster trade with the Indiana Pacers. If that deal ultimately materializes, or one with the Philadelphia 76ers, they could become the run-away favorites to win a title this year.
