Sixers’ Ben Simmons Snaps On All His Haters

Sixers’ Ben Simmons Snaps On All His Haters

Ben Simmons is objectively one of the best young players in the NBA today. He can effectively run an offense on one side of the floor and then lock up anybody defensively in a way few around the league can.

That said, for whatever reason, he gets a lot of hate.

Whether it’s NBA announcers or R&B singers, for motivations unknown, some just don’t vibe with him.

And that results in folks downgrading Simmons as a player for totally irrational reasons.

Understandably, that irks the 24-ear-old.

This week, Simmons spoke to Tyler Tynes of GQ and absolutely went off on his haters.

“The thing with people is that they think they know something soooo well. And this guy thinks he knows basketball sooo well,” he said.

“And that may be because he watches the games but does he really know the game? Did he grow up playing the game? Has he been in different situations, has he run the point guard position, has he played at this level? Like, everybody wants to feel like they know the game. And that’s just not the case. Draymond [Green] says it all the time. That’s not the case. Not everybody knows everything about something or as much as they think they know.”

As far as Simmons is concerned, Philly’s record currently speaks for itself.

“And for me? I can’t worry about that,” he continued.

“Because, right now, we’re first [in the Eastern Conference]. If I was doing something completely wrong, I don’t think we’d be in this position. Right now, we’re sitting first. And hopefully gonna end first this season. As long as I keep my mind straight and focus on the things I need to do for my team, and teammates, then we’re fine.”

Yes, Simmons has a knack for making a lot of headlines for his love life.

Sure, he isn’t shy about bashing opposing teams.

But he’s an absolute monster on the basketball court, and he should be getting way more respect than he currently gets.
