Russell Wilson, Ciara Video Goes Viral Amid DK Metcalf Comments

Earlier this year Russell Wilson and Ciara found their marriage under a magnifying glass.

It all started when former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder appeared on a podcast and suggested that Ciara was only with Wilson for his money because the Denver Broncos’ new quarterback is a “square.”

“If Russell didn’t have that bread Ciara wouldn’t be with him,” Crowder said. “Ciara, she has a good situation. You don’t leave Future and get with Russell Wilson. It’s a type. Everybody has a type… and I love him on the field but he’s f–king square.”

That prompted an interesting response from Seattle Seahawks wide receiver – and Wilson’s former teammate – D.K. Metcalf.

This week, a video of Wilson and Ciara went viral that seemed to get at Metcalf’s central point.

The clip in question featured the happy couple at the White House for Easter, with Ciara catching passes from her beau like the stud receiver that she is:

Wilson would go on to publish these photos from the event:

Corny? Perhaps. But nobody ever said being a good husband and father was going to be exciting.

And it’s not like Wilson and Ciara don’t make headlines for crazy stuff, too. Be it for running away from Future at a party or talking about the wildest place they got frisky, they land in the news for exciting things as well.

They just happen to also balance it out with really wholesome behavior, like any normal family would.

Obviously the whole Crowder thing got blown out of proportion because he is a nobody and his opinion doesn’t really matter.

But hopefully as time goes on stable, healthy relationships like Wilson’s and Ciara’s are the ones that start getting love from the general public, and not the super-dysfunctional ones that currently seem to get the most attention.
