Heading into Saturday, Buffalo will look to make a statement in a game that many are already counting them out of.

ESPN ran the numbers its computer model, and according to the Worldwide Leader in Sports Houston has a 69.3 percent chance of coming out with a win.

Behind a great defense and occasional flashes of above-averageness from quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills will try to add to Houston’s two-game playoff losing streak.

Meanwhile, the Texans come into this weekend’s battle hoping that Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins will be enough to erase memories of last year’s disappointing opening round defeat to the Indianapolis Colts.

Since Bill O’Brien’s hiring, Houston is 1-3 in the postseason and has never gone past the divisional round.

Fortunately for the Texans, they are hitting their health stride at just the right time. JJ Watt is coming back from a torn pectoral and should be huge in this one.

A lot of this game will ultimately be determined by the match-up between Hopkins and Buffalo cornerback Tre’Davious White.

In three prior showing against the Bills, Hopkins has gotten to the end zone each and every time. On the year, Hopins has recorded 104 receptions, 1,165 yards receiving and seven touchdown catches

White, however, has not allowed a single touchdown in coverage this year. On the season, he has recorded six picks – tied for best in the league.

Something’s got to give.

Will Watson be able to lead the Texans past Allen and the Bills? We should get our answer once and for all come this weekend.
