Tua Tagovailoa 2020 NFL Draft Decision Revealed
Tua Tagovailoa’s 2020 NFL Draft decision has been revealed.
Tagovailoa was widely regarded as one of the two best quarterbacks set to be available in the upcoming draft.
The expectation was that he would finish out this season with Alabama and then duke it out with LSU’s Joe Burrow for which passer will be taken higher.
Unfortunately, last week, Tagovailoa suffered a season-ending hip injury in Alabama’s blowout victory.
The injury not only halted the Crimson Tide’s National Championship aspirations, it also through a curve ball into Tagovailoa’s plans.
Would the youngster still come out as planned?
According to ESPN’s Tony Pauline, the answer is yes.
“I am told by people who are close to him [Tagovailoa] that Tagovailoa is telling people that he is very likely to enter the 2020 NFL Draft,” Pauline said.
“This shouldn’t be a surprise – maybe it’s just an affirmation to some people.
“But I think right now, the chances of him returning to Alabama, from what I’m hearing from people close to him, are very, very slim.”
Obviously this is all dependent on how the recovery process goes, but it is nice to see that Tagovailoa pro plans have not been derailed yet.
