Taylor Swift gave Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce a huge hickey this week ahead of his squad’s big game against the New England Patriots.
Coming into Sunday, nobody expected the Patriots to give the Chiefs much of a battle. The latter squad won a Super Bowl last season; the former is one of the league’s worst squads.
As a result, minor side plots dominated the headlines. First it was Swift’s mysterious blonde friend who accompanied her to the game. Then it was Brittany Mahomes’ provocative choice of outfit.
One other interesting thing that eagle-eyed viewers at home noticed was that Swift gave Kelce a massive hickey ahead of the Patriots game:

“That is why he is wearing turtlenecks,” one fan wrote.
“He did wear a turtleneck,” another person agreed.
“Love is in the air,” a third person chimed in.
This has been a crazy few months for Swift and Kelce. Between them getting busted getting frisky in a car, the troubles their romance has caused for the Mahomes clan, and Swift’s sometimes hot, other times cold relationship with Brittany – it has been one thing after another.
So far, all the attention and hype surrounding their relationship doesn’t seems to have cooled it down at all. They are still as into each other as ever.

In fact, there is an argument to be made that all the hoopla surrounding their union has brought Kelce and Swift even closer together.
The question is how much longer that will continue to be the case.
Will Swift and Kelce continue to hold strong as the NFL’s preeminent power couple in 2024? Time will tell.
