The Vikings revealed Adam Thielen’s status for Saturday’s 49ers game.
On Wednesday, news broke that Thielen suffered an ankle injury during practice. Details were scarce, but observers immediately began to speculate on whether he would available for this weekend’s postseason match-up.
One day later, Minnesota opted to provide additional clarity on Thielen’s injury and future status.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Thielen fell victim to a bad cut on his ankle. Despite him needing stitches and the team urging caution, all signs point to the Pro Bowler playing against San Francisco.

Thielen’s importance to Minnesota’s offense is undeniable. This past weekend he recorded seven receptions for 129 and helped his squad upset the New Orleans Saints in dramatic fashion.
If the Vikings want to have any hope at defeating arguably the best team in the NFC, they will need Thielen as close as possible to 100 percent.
San Francisco and Minnesota will kick off from Levi’s Stadium at 1:35 p.m. PST on Saturday.
