NFL Fans React To McKayla Maroney’s Wild ‘Football Outfit’

McKayla Maroney is one of the most respected gymnasts of her generation.

As a core member of the “Fierce Five” at the 2012 Olympics, she helped guide the American side to a silver medal in the individual vault event and gold in the team event.

In the years since Maroney has retired from competitive gymnastics. Now she is one of the biggest and most notable social media influencers in the world.

This past week, Maroney garnered strong reactions from NFL fans when she showed off an outfit she deemed good enough for both “church [and] football.”

The outfit largely speaks for itself:

“You’re lovely,” one fan wrote.

“Nice outfit,” another added.

“So beautiful,” a third person chimed in.

It goes without saying that Maroney has been blowing up online quite frequently in recent weeks. Between her provocative choice of skirt last week, wild poolside photos and now this – it has been one thing after another with her.

And that is to say nothing of just her standard Instagram content:

A lot of other athletes, including Maroney’s former teammates, have tried to take her path to social media greatness.

LSU star Olivia Dunne recently posed with no shirt on in the Tigers’ locker room.

Aly Raisman, who was a teammate of Maroney’s on the “Fierce Five,” also tried something similar with her extremely provocative photoshoot.

But none have been able to gain the level of notoriety and fame that Maroney has achieved.

What will Maroney ultimately go viral for next?

Time will tell.
