Ciara’s Wild Birthday Message To Broncos’ Russell Wilson (Video)

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson turned 34 years old this week.
Amid a rough season, one where his squad is 3-8 and sits at the bottom of the NFC West, the occasion made for a welcome distraction.
Wilson’s wife, Ciara, went all out for the big event. She even published this provocative birthday message to her beau:

She also posted this very public love letter to him on Instagram:

Unfortunately, it wasn’t all good news for Wilson on his birthday. Apparently, his Broncos teammates didn’t care much to show up and celebrate with him.
“There’s been some gossip about Russell Wilson’s standing in locker room,” Mike Klis of 9 News wrote. “Here’s some context. Per source Wilson’s wife Ciara [threw] him a birthday party last night and ‘it looked like about half the team was there.’ On player’s day off. Why do people have to be so hurtful?”
There are two ways to look at that. On one hand, it’s nice that half of Wilson’s teammates cared enough to show up. On the other, it’s telling that half didn’t.
Make of that what you will.
This isn’t the first time in recent months something that Wilson and Ciara have done has blown up online. Between them getting called out for their troubling behavior, their wild Halloween costumes and their interesting outfit choices at the ESPYs – it has been one thing after another.
They are something of mainstays in the headlines.

For all intents and purposes, this is a lost season for the Broncos. With games looming against the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Chiefs again and Los Angeles Chargers, it’s not hard to see a scenario where they lose five of their next six. Maybe all six.
What Denver really needs now is for Wilson to get right. Maybe he isn’t healthy. Maybe he’s washed. Maybe a little bit of both. But with four years and nearly $200 million left on his deal going forward, all parties involved are stuck with each other.
Will Wilson be able to regain some semblance of his old skills and swagger with the Broncos in 2023-24? The front office better hope so. Because if he doesn’t, this will go down as one of the worst moves in modern NFL history.
