Raiders Provide Unexpected News on Josh Jacobs' Injury Status
Raiders Issue Surprising Josh Jacobs Injury Update
The Raiders issued a surprising Josh Jacobs injury update on Thursday.
Jacobs, 21, has been the unquestionable Offensive Rookie of the Year this season. So far this year he leads all Oakland players with 1,150 rushing yards.
Unfortunately, the former Alabama standout has also been dealing with a shoulder injury.
That shoulder injury has kept Jacobs out of two of the last three Raiders games, so it would stand to reason if he needed surgery for it.
Interestingly enough, though, Jacobs had a completely different surgery performed on him this week.
In a post on Instagram, Jacobs revealed that he had the “fastest surgery ever” performed on his left leg.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapaport also reported on Thursday that he did not believe the injury would keep Jacobs out of this weekend’s outing.
“The early word on Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is that the procedure he had last night should not affect his status for Sunday. That is the hope. Expect to get some clarity today,” he tweeted.
Based on the information available right now, Jacobs should be good to for Sunday’s showdown versus the Denver Broncos.
