Patriots Make Surprising Julian Edelman Injury Update
The Patriots made a surprising Julian Edelman injury update this week.
On Tuesday, the team announced that Edelman had undergone surgery to address one of the many health issues that he encountered last year.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the surgical procedure occurred last week and Edelman came out of it fine.
He is not expected a ton of time for recovery.
Barring some unforeseen issue arising, he will likely be ready to participate in his team’s offseason program sooner rather than later.
Patriots’ WR Julian Edelman underwent a shoulder procedure last week that is said to involve “not a lengthy rehab” and is expected to have him ready for the team’s offseason program, per league source.

“Patriots’ WR Julian Edelman underwent a shoulder procedure last week that is said to involve ‘not a lengthy rehab’ and is expected to have him ready for the team’s offseason program,” he tweeted out.
In something of a down year for New England’s offense, Edelman was unquestionably the team’s best option at receiver.
All in all, he recorded 1,117 yards and six scores on 100 catches.
Long recognized as Tom Brady’s favorite target, Edelman getting healthy quick will likely have an impact on the Hall of Fame quarterback’s decision this offseason as far as where to play in 2020.
If Edelman were not ready to go for next season, the odds of Brady leaving to the Los Angeles Chargers would likely suddenly become much higher.
