How Deshaun Watson And His GF Celebrated Good Legal News (Photos)
On Friday a grand jury declined to indict Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson on charges stemming from the lawsuits that had been filed by 22 women who accused him of harassment and sexual assault.
Watson and his girlfriend, Jilly Anais, each processed the news in their own ways and reacted accordingly.
“It’s definitely a very emotional moment for me. I know we’re far from being done of handling what we need to handle on the legal side, but today is definitely a big day,” Watson, said.
“I thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ for letting the truth be heard. And I thank everyone that was a part of this for seeing and hearing both sides. That’s what my point and my team wanted to do, is have a fair slate of us telling our side of the story and letting the conclusion come to what happened today, and that’s what the grand jury decided on.
“I’m just going to keep fighting to rebuild my name and rebuild my appearance in the community. And on the legal side handle what we need to handle. But also ready to get on the field, and prep for that.”
The point about rebuilding his name is an interesting one. A lot of Watson’s disturbing DMs and text messages have come out in the last few months, detailing in explicit detail his weird purported sexual preferences. It will obviously take some time to wipe those from the public’s psyche.

Clearly he is done with the Texans and they are similarly over him. But who will take him on? There is one clear frontrunner at the moment, but it remains to be seen what will ultimately materialize there.
One way or another, a final decision on where Watson will play next should come over the next few weeks.
