Houston Texans Cheerleader’s Wild Preseason Photos Go Viral

A Houston Texans cheerleader’s wild photos went viral this week after the team’s middling preseason performance against the Miami Dolphins.

On Saturday, C.J. Stroud and Co. found themselves on the wrong end of a 28-3 beating.

Although preseason games are objectively irrelevant from a wins and losses perspective, the losing side also didn’t offer anything that even remotely resembled as something to build on. Both the offensive and defensively play was wholly uninspiring.

In fact, there is a case to be made that the only part of the team that truly showed up to play this weekend was the cheerleading squad. One Texans cheerleader, in particular, went viral in the aftermath for her wild photos.

In a week where the main NFL storylines have been Aaron Rodgers’ encounter with a New York Jets water girl and Olivia Culpo’s outfit to a Niners preseason game, it’s not too surprising that a Texans dancer has stolen the show like this.

That said, it does paint a concerning picture about what fans in Houston have to look forward to in 2023.

Stroud, who threw an interception on his first drive the prior week and finished with just 13 passing yards in that one, had a better showing this time around. Against Miami he threw for 60 yards on 7-of-12 passing and set his squad up for a field goal – their lone score of the game.

That said, given that he played an entire half, the rookie didn’t exactly have any show-stopping moments. The fact that the Texans have so few weapons surrounding him will not make Year 1 any easier for the former Ohio State standout when the regular season does roll around.

Defensively, Houston similarly didn’t have a ton of wins. Yes, No. 3 overall pick Will Anderson Jr.’s sack on Skylar Thompson for an 11-yard loss and forced fumble was nice. That said, putting aside that this happened against the second-stringers, Miami doesn’t exactly have the fiercest offensive line around.

Supposedly DeMeco Ryans will turn around a defensive that couldn’t get to a quarterback to save its life in recent years, but seeing is believing. Much as is the case with the offense, on paper it feels like Houston lacks the talent necessary to truly meaningfully improve from last year.

The 2023-24 NFL season will be an interesting one. On one hand, it feels like this group has nowhere to go but up. On the other, the roster doesn’t leave a ton of room for optimism. Either way, at least fans will have the Texans cheerleaders to look forward to next year.
