Derrick Henry Leaving Titans, Signing With Cowboys

Derrick Henry Leaving Titans, Signing With Cowboys

Derrick Henry will be leaving the Tennessee Titans and signing with the Dallas Cowboys for the coming 2024-25 NFL season.

Over the past month, rumors have run rampant regarding what the 30-year-old’s next move would be. While the football headlines were filled with that video of Travis Kelce running his hands all over Taylor Swift’s body and Bailey Zappe’s hilarious reaction to Mac Jones getting traded this past week, the topic of Henry’s future continuously loomed large.

Henry’s numbers have been slowly dipping ever since that standout 2020 effort, but he is still deeply impactful when on the field.

Last year Henry ran for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns on 280 attempts. Henry has led the league in carries in four of the last five seasons. In that same span, he led the NFL in rushing yards twice and broke 2,000-yard mark once.

On Sunday, a report surfaced suggesting that Henry planned to sign with the Cowboys this season.

Henry also just bought a home in Dallas, for what that is worth.

Currently the Cowboys have Deuce Vaughn, Hunter Luepke, and Malik Davis signed to fill their hole at running back.

Clearly another addition needs to be made.

Barring something unforeseen occurring, that addition will almost certainly be Henry.

Will Henry and the Cowboys make this signing official this week? Time will tell.
