Cowboys Legend Takes Another Brutal Shot At Jerry Jones
A Cowboys legend takes another brutal shot at Jerry Jones in his recent interview.
Aikman is inarguably one of the two or three greatest players to ever place in Dallas. His reign brought championships and respect to a franchise that has not seen either since his departure.
During a recent interview on 1310 The Ticket, Aikman was asked whether he could ever see himself becoming a general manager under Jones.
Aikman’s response was brutal.
“I doubt it. I mean, I think that’s a real long shot,” he said.
“I believe that it’s unlikely that Jerry will ever bring somebody in that can help this football team in that regard just because he’s been real stubborn and steadfast, in that he’s the one in charge,” he continued.
“I think in a lot of ways until that changes, this team’s going to have some problems.
“Would he ever ask me to come be a part of it? I think that’d be a real leap of faith. I don’t envision that happening, and I don’t envision it happening at any point, quite honestly, no matter who’s in charge out there.”
Based on how everything has gone for Dallas this year, it certainly makes sense that people would be frustrated.
Will Jones ultimately take Aikman’s criticism to heart? Probably not.
