Are Cowboys Signing Ezekiel Elliott To Massive Contract?
Are the Cowboys signing Ezekiel Elliott to a massive contract this week?
It sure looks that way.
All weekend rumblings from both camps have indicated that a deal was on the horizon.
Elliot reportedly even began preparing for Dallas’ Week 1 game versus the Giants.

The Cowboys reportedly began organizing their offensive schemes under the assumption that Elliot would be active.
On Tuesday, Shannon Sharpe announced that Elliot would be getting a massive 7-year deal from Jerry Jones and Co.
“I received some information that Zeke and his team are on their way back to Dallas. It’s going to be a 7-year deal and it’ll be a mega deal, one that’s going to shock a lot of people… I do believe Zeke Elliott will carry the ball on Sunday for the Cowboys.” — @ShannonSharpe pic.twitter.com/QHLyFeSrid

This report fits well alongside what Mike Florio reported earlier in the day – that Dallas would be giving Elliot something in the 6-year, $90 million range.
Getting initial chatter of Zeke deal being done. Six year, $90 million extension. Unconfirmed.

It appears to be a big spending week for the Cowboys.
Earlier on Monday the team announced it had signed right tackle La’el Collins to a 5-year contract extension that created $5.7 million in cap space for the team.
