Cleveland Browns Hiring Mike McCarthy As Head Coach
The Cleveland Browns are hiring Mike McCarthy as their head coach, that much is clear.
Cleveland opted not to interview McCarthy the last time the organization had a coaching vacancy, and everyone saw how that decision turned out.
This time around, the Browns appear to be learning from their mistake.
According to ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, “McCarthy expected to get more focused consideration with Browns job than last year.”

McCarthy certainly makes a lot of sense for the Browns. His time with the Green Bay Packers came to an end far more as a result of philosophical disagreements with Aaron Rodgers than his coaching acumen.
Over the span of more than 200 games with his old team McCarthy put together a record of 125-77-2 and won a Super Bowl.
His head coaching credentials are far superior to anyone else Cleveland is considering for the position.
It appears that the Browns will do their best to cast a wide net and interview a variety of categories, but ultimately McCarthy is the guy who will walk away with the job.
