Bucs GM Responds To Antonio Brown Signing
The general manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently responded to rumors of Antonio Brown possibly being signed.
It does not look like that is going to happen.
“Yeah, it’s not going to happen,” head coach Bruce Arians said on the Tiki and Tierney Show.
“There’s no room. It’s just not going to happen. It’s just not a fit here.”
General manager Jason Licht echoed that sentiment.
“We feel like there’s a lot of teams that are struggling to find one really good receiver,” Licht said.
“And we have two really outstanding receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Right now, there’s only so much money that can go around.
“There is no plan to sign any other receiver at this time. Antonio is somebody Bruce has come out and had some words about. Bruce knows him better than all of us. Right now, I’d just say that we’re focused on other areas of our team.”
The Buccaneers are stacked at receiver, so it is no surprise that the team is uninterested in adding a polarizing figure like Brown.
