Ben Roethlisberger Responds To Critics Calling Him Fat
Ben Roethlisberger responded to critics calling him fat recently. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is not taking it to heart.
During a recent interview, Roethlisberger said that the notion of him being overweight these days is ridiculous. Rather, he thinks it is his facial hair that is deceiving people.
“I’ve heard people say I’m fat, and that just blows my mind,” he said.
“I’m lighter and in better shape than I was in either of the past two years. I haven’t stopped working out.
“I normally don’t work out in the offseason, but I’ve been doing everything five days a week with my trainer. Cardio twice a week. Legs twice a week. Upper body twice a week.
“I guess it’s my beard that makes me look heavier. I must have five pounds in that, I know. But I’m not overweight.”
Roethlisberger missed most of 2019 with an injury. However, in 2018, he amassed 5,129 yards and looked fantastic. Which version of him will show up in 2020? Time will tell.
