Patrick Ewing Gets Brutally Honest About James Dolan, Knicks
Patrick Ewing got brutally honest bout James Dolan and the New York Knicks recently.
Dolan and former Knicks legend Charles Oakley famously got into a disagreement several years back. The issue was never resolved. This week, Ewing weighed in on the matter during a recent interview.
“Whatever is going on with him and Mr. Dolan, like I’ve said before, it’s something that needs to stop,” Ewing said. “He’s one of the best players that I’ve played with. He’s a part of the Knicks’ history. He and Mr. Dolan need to get in a room somewhere and figure that out.”
Ewing is currently the head coach at Georgetown. He has seemingly maintained a positive relationship with both Dolan and his former teammates.
“Charles Oakley was one of my best teammates. He was an enforcer. I enjoyed playing with him,” Ewing said.
“I have nothing but respect for him. That’s all I want to say about that.”
Will Dolan ultimately heed Ewing’s advice? Time will tell.
