Sofia Franklyn Getting Different Podcast With Barstool Sports?
Is Sofia Franklyn getting a different podcast with Barstool Sports? That is the question on the minds of many this week now that her former co-host, Alex Cooper, has re-started Call Her Daddy without her.
Franklyn, Cooper and Barstool Sports were engaged in a lengthy contract feud over the Call Her Daddy podcast. Franklyn and Cooper reportedly wanted more money, rights to their intellectual property and to leave for another organization.
Somewhere along the way, Cooper and Franklyn began to disagree on the negotiations with Barstool. At that point, a rift formed.
“I found out that Alex had gone behind my back and done something,” Franklyn said in a social media video this month.
“And I found out it wasn’t the first time. And that’s why we’re here. I trusted Alex. I feel betrayed, but ultimately she was my best friend and that doesn’t change overnight.”
Cooper admitted in a later video that she had withheld a raise from Franklyn.
“I chose not to share this raise with Sofia, and I chose to do that because Sofia made me feel uncomfortable that I did more work,” Cooper said in her clip.
Portnoy at one point said on social media that it was clear Cooper and Franklyn would not be able to work together again. However, he said he was willing to give Franklyn her own podcast on the Barstool network.
Now that Cooper has returned to the Call Her Daddy fold and Franklyn clearly has no negotiating power, it will be interesting to see if she takes Portnoy up on his offer.
