Zion Williamson has been on a tear since December.
After getting criticized for being extremely out of shape, the New Orleans Pelicans star took the condemnation to heart and decided to change his ways.
A few days ago, Williamson did an interview describing why he finally decided to put down the fork and stop eating so much.
This week, photos emerged showing how different he looks now:

“I’ve got people in New Orleans telling me that since December, when the In-Season Tournament happened, that Zion Williamson has lost 25 or more pounds and his performance has been excellent,” Brian Windhorst said on The Hoop Collective on Monday.
Windhorst isn’t the only saying this, though.
“I think since that moment, well there was a team meeting around that time as well, things have gone on the up and up for him,” Andrew Lopez of ESPN also noted.
“He looks like a completely different player. Like you, I’ve heard a lot of great things from multiple people in New Orleans about the buy in that he’s had, the transformation in his body, everything right now for him feels and looks different.”
Fans seem excited about what is to come for Williamson once the playoffs roll around.

The Pelicans are currently one of the NBA’s more intriguing young teams.
And Williamson is a big reason why.

The early chapters of his legacy will be written based on what happens over the next month and change.
Is 2024 the year Williamson steps up to become one of the faces of the NBA? Time will tell.
