Adrian Wojnarowski appeared on ESPN this past week and broke down the Los Angeles Lakers’ main NBA Trade Deadline targets.
The Feb. 8 deadline is more than a month away, but team are already maneuvering and planning for what the next few weeks will look like.
Obviously, L.A. has been linked to two prominent moves over the past few days. The first involves them being one of two frontrunners for Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray. The second involves them being one of four teams in the hunt for Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine.
According to Wojnarowski, the Lakers have two primary objective ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

Both Murray and LaVine would certainly help in that capacity. The latter is 28 years old. The former is 27 years old.
Murray, specifically, is averaging 20.3 points per game this year on 46 percent shooting from two and 38.2 percent shooting from three. He is also dishing out 5.4 assists, grabbing 4.4 rebounds and snatching up 1.6 steals per game.
LaVine is a great player in his own right, particularly offensively, but his constant injury woes make him something of a risky bet.
Obviously both Murray and LaVine are clients of Rich Paul, which matters greatly in where they will ultimately be traded when everything is said and done.

The only question at this juncture is whether L.A. has enough capital to actually pull off a blockbuster deal that checks off the boxes they are looking to check off.
One way or another, it feels like the Lakers have their hearts set on making a trade happen. Will they actually be able to get it done, though? Time will tell.
