Kyle Kuzma is averaging 21.9 points per game on more than 34 percent shooting from beyond the arc this year. In addition, he is also chipping in 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. Plus, he has a certain star factor – as made clear by how viral his intimate photos with Winnie Harlow went.
As a result, his stock among other NBA teams has never been higher. Last month there were four teams closely linked to possibly making a move for Kuzma. This month, that list narrowed to three teams.
With the Washington Wizards presenting themselves as ‘sellers’ ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, Kuzma has quietly emerged as one of the more sought-after players available.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, both the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks have expressed interest in Kuzma. Sacramento, specifically, reached out to inquire about a deal – only to be told that the asking price is two first-rounders.
“Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma has drawn exploratory trade interest from several teams around the league, league sources told HoopsHype, and that interest could intensify with teams missing out on Pascal Siakam,” Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported this week.
“Following reports that Washington wants two first-round picks to potentially part with Kuzma, there is further clarity and caveats to that. The Wizards would need future first-round picks beyond the 2024 draft with the potential to become lottery picks to consider parting with their best player, league sources told HoopsHype.”
In addition to the Mavericks and Kings, the Golden State Warriors have also expressed interest in Kuzma.

“League sources told Hoops Wire that the Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors are among those who could have an interest in Kuzma,” Sam Amico reported this past week. “Neither Memphis nor San Antonio would want to part with potential lottery picks, though, sources added.”
The Grizzlies and Spurs not offering up their lottery picks means they are not serious suitors, though. That just leaves Golden State out of that batch.
One way or another, it is increasingly looking like Kuzma might be moved ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline. Where will he go once it’s all said and done? Time will tell.
