Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is unquestionably one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. As such, with every passing year, his legend seems to grow ever so slightly.
Between tales of his secret trick to never getting tired and hidden videos from the past that display his incredible macro understanding of the sport, anecdotes about Curry never cease to amaze.
It was more of the same this week.
During a recent appearance on JJ Redick’s The Old Man & The Three podcast, Andre Iguodala opened up about the time Curry managed to silence the entire Denver Nuggets bench with just two words.
“He lets the ball go and turns around and tells them to shut up,” Iguodala said.
“The ball is in, like, midair, it’s not even close to the rim, and the whole team went like [quiet]. This is the opposing team, like, ‘Yo, I’ve never seen that before during a game.”

It should come as no surprise that this particular moment stands out in Iguodala’s mind. It was pretty special, and it stood as an example of things to come from Curry.
Despite one team making a serious run at stealing Curry from the Warriors, the 33-year-old has been fairly blunt about his future.

Next season will be very telling. Either he’ll return to championship contention and make one last run at winning another chip, or the Curry Era will officially be retired as a thing of the past.
