South Carolina Fan’s Text Message About Flau'jae Johnson Goes Viral
Sunday’s women’s college basketball game between South Carolina and LSU was filled with bad blood, physicality and a lot of controversy.
The outing was a memorable one for how it was played, but what it really made headlines for was a fight that broke out and the role LSU’s Angel Reese played in it.

Reese typically lands in the news for everything ranging from her wild party photos with Olivia Dunne to her public flirtation with the most popular rapper in the game to her provocative outfit choices. But obviously what happened this weekend was in a category of its own.
With 2:08 left in the SEC tournament championship game, South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso initiated a bench-clearing brawl after strongly pushing Flau’jae Johnson for bumping Ashlyn Watkins prior to that.
This was Reese’s reaction to the whole thing:

Reese addressed her actions after the game:
As a person at my STATUS, sometimes you have to walk away from certain situations. Mind you the play before that I had rolled my ankle AGAIN and was already walking to the bench. I ALWAYS ride for mine. I’m super proud of this team & super excited for march. #geauxtigers 💜💛

In addition to Reese’s role in the whole situation, a South Carolina fan also made headlines when their text message about Johnson was caught on camera:

Between LSU coach Kim Mulkey getting in trouble after the game for her comments, Reese falling under the microscope, and this fan, there was no shortage of headlines coming out of Sunday’s outing.
Clearly there is a lot of bad blood between South Carolina and LSU.

And it isn’t going away any time soon.
Will these two squads face off again this year, perhaps for the National Championship? An answer one way or the other is coming in a few weeks.
