LeBron James’ Cold-Blooded Response To Dillon Brooks’ Impact
LeBron James’ Cold-Blooded Response To Dillon Brooks’ Impact
LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers earned a very impressive and much-needed victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
With the win, L.A. took the first step in defending their newfound home court advantage and earned a 2-1 series lead over Memphis.
LeBron James scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the outing. Along the way, he also easily one-upped Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks, who had been jabbering away about him over the past few days.
You will recall, Brooks called James “old” and expressed an indifference to his ability to control the game anymore. How did that work out for him? Well, while James led his squad to victory, Brooks was ejected in the third quarter with his squad down by 16.
Flagrant 2 foul assessed to Dillon Brooks for hitting LeBron below the belt.

Brooks finished Game 3 with 7 points on 3-of-13 shooting over the course of 19 minutes of action.
Before he got the boot, Brooks also found himself trending on social media over this photo:

After the game, James was asked about Brooks’ trash talk and how it influenced him. The Lakers star’s response was absolutely cold-blooded.

“At the end of the day I think my resume and what I’ve done for this league speak for itself,” he said. “I don’t really get caught up in any comments like that.
“And like I continue to say, at the end of the day my focus is to my teammates and us trying to figure out a way how we can beat the Memphis Grizzlies, not on how I can beat an individual on their team. If anybody know me, they should know best what I’ve been always about. That’s all that matters.”
At the end of the day, nothing hurts more than the truth. And that is what James effortlessly hit Brooks with.
The state of their so-called rivalry is nonexistence because they are not rivals, as this graph clearly shows:

Brooks’ girlfriend during summer league was more impressive than anything he has done on the basketball court in this series. And it’s hard to see that changing any time soon.
The Lakers still have two games left to win before sending the Grizzlies home early. Time will tell if they will be able to get it done.

Either way, though – there is no denying that James has Brooks beat in every possible way.
No matter how this series turns out, Brooks bit off more than he could chew in picking a fight with James, and the GOAT made him pay for it.
