LeBron James’ Blunt Response To Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks Winning Title
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns 105-98 on Tuesday night to win the 2021 NBA Championship.
This title did not come easy.
The Bucks initially found themselves in an 0-2 hole to the Suns, only to battle back over the subsequent four outings to eventually claim the series.
NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was incredible throughout, but especially in Game 6 – finishing the day with 50 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks and two assists. Despite being mocked by Chris Paul and ridiculed by Monty Williams, the two-time MVP persevered.
After the final seconds ticked off the clock, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, last year’s NBA Finals MVP, sent a blunt message to Antetokounmpo.
Salute & Congrats @Giannis_An34!! You earned that shit!! 🏆💍 💐. 🙏🏾✊🏾❤️👑

It was James’ second tweet of the night aimed at the Bucks star. Earlier in the evening, he wrote this:
Greek Freak is HOOPING!!!!!!!

Kind words notwithstanding, the match-up everyone wants to see in the finals is James and Antetokounmpo squaring off. Obviously the Lakers came up short this year, but if the blockbuster trade they’re working on ultimately comes to fruition, it wouldn’t be all that shocking to see LA and Milwaukee meet for a title next season.
