Kylian Mbappe Names Top 5 Players In NBA Today

Kylian Mbappe is already a soccer legend at just 24 years of age.

Although he came up short in the 2022 World Cup, Mbappe will likely have many more opportunities to make things right in the future.

This past week Mbappe came to the United States and decided to take in an NBA game between the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs.

While at the outing, Mbappe was presented with a very important question: who are his top five players in the NBA today?

“Top 5?” Mbappe wondered out loud.

“I go LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis [Antetokounmpo], Luka Doncic, and Jayson Tatum.”

Mbappe’s affinity for Durant is unsurprising. While at the Nets game, he got a firsthand look at just how good he is. One particular razzle-dazzle play got a very strong reaction out of Mbappe.

And understandably so.

The other picks on the list also make sense.

Yes, the Los Angeles Lakers are terrible this year – but James’ legacy as an all-time great is etched in stone.

Antetokounmpo’s Bucks are one of the best teams in the league this year and will likely be in legitimate contention for another NBA championship in 2023.

Doncic is the brightest star the league has seen since LeBron James. Him making the Western Conference Finals last season with the Dallas Mavericks was just icing on the cake. No one is more electric to watch.

And Tatum, that one is pretty self-explanatory too. Although the Boston Celtics are 4-6 in their last 10 outings, they did start the year off as the best team in the league. Most likely they will regain that position sooner rather than later.

Mbappe is unique GOAT-level talent, so it is unsurprising that he is easily able to recognize the same eliteness in NBA players as well.
