Kobe Bryant Names 2 Biggest NBA Competitors (Video)
Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest NBA players of all time.
Because of his unique skillset and appreciation for the game of basketball, Bryant was always uniquely qualified to assess players across eras.
He understood the guys that came before him, during him and after him as well as anyone who had ever picked up a basketball.
In that spirit, during one particularly interesting interview, Bryant revealed in great detail his two biggest NBA competitors.
“Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson are the two that come to mind immediately because they were just they were relentless,” Bryant said.
“Now Michael, his relentlessness was amazing and Scotty [Pippen’s] as well both ends of the floor. In my generation [Allen Iverson] was much the same.
“I mean from opening tip to the end, I mean this guy was just going and going and going and he’d always put you in jeopardy so those two guys are the most competitive I faced.”
Whether he was revealing who would win a 1-on-1 between him and LeBron James, explaining his one condition for partying with teammates or naming the league’s toughest players to guard – Bryant always kept it real.

In that vein, if he dubbed Jordan and Iverson as the two best competitors he ever faced off against, you know he meant it.
Hopefully as time passes more and more Bryant interviews come out.
The man was a basketball genius, and newer fans deserve to know that as well.
