Kawhi Leonard’s Blunt Reaction To Suns’ Game 2 Win Over Clippers
Kawhi Leonard tried his hardest to help the Los Angeles Clippers steal a second straight road game from the Phoenix Suns, but ultimately he fell short on Tuesday night.
Despite 31 points, eight rebounds, seven assists from him, Leonard’s Clippers fell to the Suns 123-109.
As a result, their best-of-seven first-round series is now knotted at one win apiece.
After the game, Leonard offered his blunt thoughts on the outing.
“That’s what they do,” he said.
“They’re talented basketball players, and it’s expected for them to make those shots. They like to shoot them.”
That said, Leonard felt like L.A. did some things well, too.
“I think we’re doing a good job,” he continued.
“We know what’s going to happen coming into the game. I feel like we executed most of the sets when they did come and double. Yeah, so that’s what I think about it.”
One thing Leonard did not touch on, however, was the awkward exchange between him and Suns point guard Chris Paul that occurred after the game.
It is unclear what caused it or why it happened, but it’s definitely one of the biggest mysteries surrounding this series at the moment.

At the end of the day, the Clippers didn’t need to win Game 2. By earning a victory in Game 1, Los Angeles stole homecourt advantage.
Now they just need to win Games 3 and 4 to maintain it.
Leonard has scored 30 points in back-to-back outings now. Will he be able to keep it going over the next few games? Can the Clippers shock the world and upset Kevin Durant’s Suns in this first-round series? One way or another, an answer will emerge soon enough.
